The CIWARA
When Zakari visited Burley in Wharfedale in 2009 he presented the CIWARA to the Chairman of Burley Parish Council, in recognition of what has been achieved since the start of the link between our villages.

                                                                   

The CIWARA is on display in Burley Library.

                                                               

Zakari also presented a wooden carving to all the churches in Burley and Menston. The Vicar wrote in the Parish Magazine ‘I have looked long and hard at the carving and reflected that it represents how people, when they join together and help can literally support and change the world‘.
